Pizza Wreath with Pesto

It’s Christmas, and of course you want to put something festive on the table… but who says it can’t be pizza? Our festive pizza wreath is not only delicious, but also extra Christmassy thanks to the red tomatoes and green pesto. Perfect as a quick main dish, party snack, or tasty starter – and easy to adapt to your own taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza base (or make your own!)

  • 100 g tomato sauce

  • 1 ball of mozzarella

  • 200 g cherry tomatoes

  • 5 g basil

  • 5 g oregano

  • Pesto

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Place the pizza base on a baking tray and use a pastry ring or a glass to cut a circle out of the center, creating a nice wreath shape. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving the edge free. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Slice the mozzarella and arrange it alternately with the cherry tomatoes so the colors are nicely mixed. Brush the edge with olive oil and bake the pizza wreath for about 15 minutes in the preheated oven until the cheese has melted and the dough is golden brown.

Remove the wreath from the oven and top with pesto, fresh oregano, and basil.

Tip: This pizza wreath is endlessly versatile – choose your favorite toppings and add them in!
